SUMMARY
Experienced and Successful construction and engineering project management professional with over 30 years of experience. Beginning my career as a “dirt” laborer over the summer of my 13th birthday and throughout my teenage years where I learned the basics of concrete, masonry, pipe laying, and excavation & grading. I worked hard soaked up everything I could from the other guys who mostly had 30 years of experience under their belts. I began developing my skills as a craftsman in multiple trades, and continued to work on a part-time basis throughout my high school years when I wasn’t playing football, running track, or fulfilling the requirements of an enlisted Marine awaiting shipping out to basic training.
I continue to build on my knowledge through both formal education, as well as professional development training to help me rise through the ranks to Field and Operations Management on large-scale and high profile projects across the nation.
*After many years of traveling for contract and project based positions, which was never my desire especially as the single father of my 2 sons, that I had custody of from the time they were ages 2 and 5. However due to the aforementioned and being displaced by the local economy in my long time field of heavy civil engineering, bridge & road, and site-work I had little option. I am ONLY seeking long term stable employment with an outstanding organization.

Heavy Civil Superintendent
Crystal Cascades Civil Engineering
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
Roads, Bridges, Site-work, Excavation, Utility/ Underground, Heavy Civil, Tunneling, Boring, Blasting, Demolition, Concrete, Masonry
Bridges, Flood Channels, and other large and diverse civil projects.
•US Army Corps of Engineers F-1 and F-2 Flood Channels, Las Vegas, NV:
Estimated Cost: $5,000,000,000
This project was the most challenging project of my career. In a joint venture with Wiser Construction we constructed 2 - 3 mile long flood channels with residential bridges and confluences in untouched Federal BLM land right into Red Rock Canyon. We poured approximately 500 cubic meters of concrete a day for a little over a year in walls and channel bottom, along with the excavation and blasting in the Rocky Mountains. Blasting of the mountains to create a detention basin to hold all of the water. I recently went back to this once undisturbed land to see that it had been developed to its maximum potential.
•Alexander Street Bridge, Las Vegas, NV:
Estimated Cost: $1,200,000
This project was a new construction project on the new 215 Freeway on the west side of Las Vegas. This soffit filled bridge was the first soffit filled bridge I ever constructed and consisted of working with American Asphalt and Paving. The construction of this bridge was also in conjunction with our installation of several flood channels and residential bridges over them. I also worked as an assistant superintendent on several other bridges in this expansion.
•Flamingo Wash, Las Vegas, NV:
Estimated Cost: $3,000,000
Construction of another concrete flood channel for Clark County with a residential bridge and spillway. Excavation and construction of a 30 foot wide concrete flood channel with 16 foot walls, and slope paving. The Flamingo wash was destroyed by the "100 year flood" and the bridge sat closed for about 5 years until the reconstruction.
•C-1 Flood Channel City of Henderson, NV:
Estimated Cost: $2,000,000
Construction of another concrete flood channel for Clark County with a residential bridge and spillway. Excavation and construction of a 30 foot wide concrete flood channel with 16 foot walls, and slope paving.
•Duck Creek Wash, Las Vegas, NV, Clark County:
Estimated Cost: $2,000,000
Construction of another concrete flood channel for Clark County with a residential bridge and spillway. Excavation and construction of a 30 foot wide concrete flood channel with 16 foot walls, and slope paving.
•NDOT Torrey Pines Bridge at US 95, Las Vegas, NV:
Estimated Cost: $6,300,000
Demolition and Construction of the first bridge in the US 95 expansion through Downtown Las Vegas. The bridge was demolished and rebuilt in two sections as to leave one section constantly open. The expansion was from 6 lanes to 14 lanes and required 24 hour construction.
Trades Experience:
(Prior to management)
Prior to field and project management was a multi-skilled tradesman and also worked as a tradesman while between professional employment positions. From the age of 13 started working in concrete. Typically worked as a foreman, but regardless is hands on. Worked as a concrete finisher, laborer, rod buster, equipment operator, form carpenter, and pipe layer primarily, has Union and Non-Union Experience and has worked on Residential projects such as sidewalks and driveways (including stamping and ornamental); commercial projects such as big box, high rises, and multi-family; industrial projects such as process, and agricultural; highway and civil projects such as roads, flood channels, box culverts, bridges, water and waste-water treatment. Worked on high profile projects such as paving and masonry for stars and studios such as Sylvester Stallone, Warner Bros. and worked on projects for companies such as ADM and Tate and Lyle, and worked on small projects as well.
