Worked night shift as a floor nurse as a new grad on the Medical floor. After my orientation, within a year, I was being trained for charge nursing role in our Medical Unit. Left due to pregnancy and needing a day shift position.
AUGUST 2016 – DECEMBER 2016
RN, RESPIRATORY MEDICAL CONTACT, Lincare
Worked day shift, 8-5 job, working on files, secretarial work, and then assessing new and current patients with oxygen/respiratory air needs. This included BiPAPS, CPAPs, oxygen set up, nebulizer set ups, Trilogy set ups, and pediatric set ups as well. Left due to being placed on bedrest.
FEBRUARY 2017 – CURRENT
RN BSN, ICU MANAGER, ksb hospital
Started working here on the medical/surgical/pediatric unit. Became charge nurse as well as a preceptor quite quickly. Eventually switched over to the ICU department where I currently am at as the ICU manager and educator. I work both on and off the floors, as well as managerial tasks, secretarial tasks, and educational teaching days.

Graduated with high honors, in the top 5 % of my class. During my time here I was a 3 sport athlete making all conference honorable mention in volleyball, basketball, and track, as well as receiving all academic for those 3 sports as well.

ADN, Sauk valley community college
Graduated on the Deans list with a 3.8 GPA and received both an Associates in Nursing and an Associates in Science.

BSN, Chamberlain college of nursing
Graduated with my Bachelors in Nursing, while being a single mom.
SKILLS
I am strong willed and am always an advocated for both our patients and our staff.

ACTIVITIES
I love learning, and I am currently working on getting my CCRN to help advance my career, and then will be looking into getting my Masters Degree. However, I am unsure what route I wish to pursue at this time. I love teaching our staff new skills, and I am always willing to go above and beyond to help our unit as well as the hospital in general.
