Personal Profile

I am an enthusiastic and diligent student in Computer Science of Kingston University who is early in his course and has a keen interest in Software-Engineering. Enthusiastic about everything within IT; I have a strong passion for working in developing and testing new technologies. I understand that in the world of technology, fast evolution is key to advancements. I possess abilities such as flexibility and excellent communication skills and a drive to grow and advance in the field.

Key Skills

I possess many skills that show off I’m a suitable and great candidate. One of them being I have an eagerness to learn and grow in the chosen field. The first thing required to commit is an interest.

Another thing I possess is the confidence to try new things and not be shy of when new things are introduced and standardised, as in the tech industry there are always advancements and change.

Problem-solving skills are something that I possess greatly, as this is essential as problems occur on a daily basis that we must challenge and it’s no different in the software engineering field.

I possess a great standard of communication skills as working with a team is vital for fast paces environments and I feel comfortable in doing so.

I also have experience in working with programming languages such as Python, Java as well as C and Ruby from various online camps and lessons such as Harvard’s CS50 courses which has allowed me to understand how some languages can do what others can do and understand performance.

Employment Summary

November 2023 – Jan 2024 Boots Customer Advisor (Christmas): Stock the store with the Christmas stock as well as provide a good customer service to customers who need help and push as many sales as possible. The many challenges I faced were time constraints and deal with many people with the different queries that needed solving and find creative solutions.

January 2023 – Aug 2023 Freelancing IT Technician: Work on building and repairing computer systems of all types. Repairing Portable devices such as a phones and tablets. Software and hardware optimisation of devices such as computer. I would gain my customers through word of mouth and friends and family. This allowed me to put my skills to the test and face various problems and challenges and allowed me to solely problem solve and gain understanding of different tech.

August 2022 – Nov 2022 Juss Marketing – Sales Associate: Generate long-term customers on behalf of some amazing tech start-ups. Confidently pitch to new and long-term customers to support start-ups. Manage a system, maintaining customers and the businesses of the start-up companies. I gained a strong sense of good team work here as well being able to speak and inspire confidently.

May 2022 – Aug 2022 Amazon – Sortation Operative: Sort customer’s goods and consolidate them onto lorries and trucks for delivery using technology to aid us. We worked as a team here and were under strict time constrictions and had to move swiftly, which also required good teamwork and communication.

Interests/Hobbies and Achievements

I have a keen interest in working with computers from a young age, from learning to code and building computers as a hobby is something I am passionate about. I also enjoy experimenting with DIY electronic projects and recently completed a project using a raspberry pi and an Arduino, which incorporates sensors and a mechanical moving mechanism. I also like to read about all new technologies and what advancements have been made.
