Director, Finance Operations

Flashcom, Inc. was a provider of DSL services to residential and small business customers in 48 metropolitan areas. Reported to the CFO, assumed responsibility for critically flawed financial operations and a billing operations. Developed and managed a strategy to quantify critical business metrics previously unknown, including customer base

(~45,000) and monthly revenues ($4M).

Responsible for a staff of 65, both professional/management and line employees with call center responsibility. Conceived and facilitated an effort to recover approximately $2M in earned unbilled revenue, including over

$720K in systematic backbilling. Further manual efforts resulted in the recovery of $269K. Facilitated the development of a dispute resolution action plan enabling the company to maintain credit card processing privileges.
