Over 2 years as Production Quality Engineer with many responsibilities in plastic and rubber injection process, responsible to warranty the quality of the product and the reliability of the process stablishing product and process audits and corrective actions for internal and layer audits no conformities, leading the technician team, charger to inspect and perform the first piece release inspection, improve, developing and implementing new methods to perform and verify the parts, adding a new gages as go- no go, masters, and tools to make it in a easy way reducing the time to do it the inspections, responsible of containment leading the internal third company and following the external preparing provisions for payments. Responsible to maintain a good relationship with the customers, taking care of customer complains and the solution for each one leading the problem solving and following the implementation of the corrective action and effectiveness of it using a diverse tool as 8D s, A3, IS-NOT IS, Ishikawa … etc. charging to follow the costumer portals for FORD, GM, BRP, Navistar… etc.
Maintenance and updating the control plan and PFMEA (AIAG/VDA 2018) and the process documentation (work instructions, boundary samples, check list), performing a SPC audits for the special characteristics and corrective actions if it was needed.
I been trained in six sigma as GREEN Belt and my project consist to reduce the quantity of pieces needed to check during first piece inspection, due to the destructive test some process needed at least 5 pieces and the project objective consist in reduce it to maximum 2 pieces, reducing this quantity of pieces the company saving direct components used to assembly the pieces as braze inserts, gaskets and screws, also other components used to perform the test, impacting the company with a savings more than $60,000 USD in a year. Managing the PPAP and FAI process for each current, new and improved process, compilating the documentation according to the customer requirement and submitting it, warranty the PSW approving.
Participate in multiple internal, third part and customer audits as IATF, INMETRO, VDA, BIQ, maintaining the QSM documentation of my process and ensuring the quality of it.
In my achievements, we got the supplier award of GM in 2018 and the certification in BIQ of GM too, I got the PSW approval in and the same time for 2 new projects, one for 19 part number for GM and one for 12 parts number for VW.
