Software Developer III

Participated in an analyst and developer role in all levels of onboarding new clients including requirements gathering, working with clients to determine how best to proceed, data analysis, and creation of custom printed documents in Quadient software following gathered customer guidelines; Work with SQL servers and internal Microsoft servers to direct flow of data and production work throughout the facilities; Research issues and update existing print programs; Process pre-composed PDF mailings using JavaScript and C# scripting languages

•Being a member of the Development team, I worked with company servers moving work through the network workflow and seeing that work through to completion. I was involved in new workflow steps from implementation of new print programs, programming the document, setting up the workflow through the company network, and ultimately sending the work to the print floor to be printed and sent out. I wrote custom documentation of every step along the way.

•Developed programs in MillPlus software suite using custom JavaScript code to manipulate pre-composed PDFs from clients adding company specific factory controls. Custom written JavaScript including moving items on the page, calculating number of pages such as beginning pages, ending pages, and keeping track of the record and where those pages were to be inserted back into the document. The coding also included inserting data variables in addition to calculations with the variables to meet the client specifications. Developed custom print programs in Quadient software suite using custom C# scripting to intake client data, run calculations, manipulate the data based on client specs, and output print documents using customer specifications. In addition to C# scripting, Quadient has an xml backend which I helped write XML code for custom programs. Maintained Scaler work flows to guide work through the Quadient lifecycle.

National Computer Print Inc. April 2007 to January 2023 Programmer/Analyst

Create custom printed and web documents in Quadient software following customer guidelines; Document procedures and research issues with existing print programs; create custom specific logic with C# to meet client guidelines; create interactive web interface templates in Quadient utilizing XML and HTML

•My time at NCP was spent working in the Quadient Software Suite writing custom print programs using a combination of C# scripting and XML code. In my 16 years at the company, I was solely responsible for hundreds of new programs as well as countless updates to existing programs. Most of the updates came from programs other programmers creating meaning I developed techniques to research the programs to understand what was coded, why it was coded, and what steps needed to take place in order to create the desired results of the program. I also wrote custom documentation for every change made to a program including the full workflow of new implementations working with a quality assurance team.

•I was a Senior programmer working on the “Fast Track” team meaning in addition to working on long term programs, I was responsible for work that ran into errors or needed immediate updates and needed to be fixed in a fast turnaround time frame.

•Our work was managed using the Agile programming model utilizing 2 week sprints. I have many years’ experience in Scrum meetings including stand up meetings, scheduling meetings, and estimating time for each change or new project.
