Work Experience

Sr Large loss Estimator

Water Damage Rescue, Inc. - Los Angeles, CA

January 2021 to April 2024

Primary duties and responsibilities included the creation, submission, and subsequent negotiation of reconstruction contracts for insurance based clients. This was a desk position utilizing docusketch, Matterport, and hand drawn sketches, as well as any other data necessary to compile estimates in both xactimate and symbility. Over the course of 2 1/2 years I created roughly 900 contracts valuing, a little over 16 million. The bulk of the revenue came from large loss, reconstruction projects, dealing with fire or catastrophe damage. Additional responsibilities included the creation of all supplement bills, change orders, and any other contractual adjustments for projects I was involved with. The estimating process required long-term interaction with staff from multiple departments. Position reported to ownership group directly.

Unfortunately, growth within their organization was affected by several factors, chief among the economy. This resulted in my recent layoff, they are offering freelance work, but I am looking for a career path.
