Responsibilities:

Keep abreast of related laws, regulations and best practices pertaining to Sanctions.

Review Sanctions related alerts escalated by First Line of Defense and approve/reject escalated instances.

Search against regulator queries and other miscellaneous sources through available tools including the Core banking system.

Assist in the mitigation of risk in terms of the sanctions regimes applicable to the bank.

Update the negative list on timely basis as per the defined process.

Validate the sanctions lists available in screening solutions as per defined process.

Using Search tools of data base against changes in negative lists manually.

As per procedure, review and ensure proper closure of alerts generated on system in a timely manner, within the defined turnaround time.
