One on one caregiver in a personal home assisting a 30 year old male who is quadriplegic who is paralyzed from his upper chest down to his feet. I assist him with transferring to and from his shower chair, assist with showering, changing/taping catheter tubing every morning after showering, assist with changing out colostomy bag, assist with getting dressed, socks, shirts, pants, shoes, and hat. Assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with medications given orally in the morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight hours. Learned the 6 different routes of administering medications along with other expectations that are required and what the safety precautions are. I took a three day class through Black Hills Works in Rapid City,SD and once i completed the class and passed the written exam, it was required of me to test with two different people who were already Med Certified and one final with the house Nurse and was observed while administering medications to people supported. I would be extremely interested in getting my medication administration certificate through the state so I am able to work anywhere with having a permanent Medication Administration Certificate.

I was honored to be the "Main Flyer" of the BHSU Cheerleading Squad. I did get hurt pretty badly my second hear of cheerleading at BHSU but overall I loved it and I loved the girls and guys I had on my team and were able to build trust with the people who would hold me up 30ft or higher in the air with double stunts, cradles, one leg stunts, one man stunts, and several other stunts that I enjoyed doing. Im a go getter, i like to think out side the box a lot, keep an open mind, and leaving my outside life at the door when coming into work. I am a very fast learner, very well organized, great with time management, and just an overall fun and energetic person to work with. I enjoy working as a team and working independently just depends on what the job is. I am looking for full time employment in Rapid City ASAP, as in i could start as soon as Tuesday. I do have a three year old daughter that I have full time just want let employers know that ahead of time. Cant wait to see where my career path takes me.
