Responsible for safe efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment (Cataract Eye, Orthopedic, General Trauma, Endovascular, Neuro, Laparoscopic Surgeries).

Loaded and unloaded and monitored the operations of automatic washers. Properly load, operate and unloading of all sterilizers (Steam, Sterrad), including the use of biological indicators and testing equipment. Maintained a clean and safe environment by adhering to Standard Precautions and Infection Control practices. Staff will don proper Personnel Protective Equipment

(PPE), follows protocols for decontamination process referencing Instructions for Use (IFU) supplied by the manufacturers.

Prepared operating room case carts and delieved to OR in timely matter. Followed protocol for repair or replacement of instruments that are not functioning properly.
