oCoordinated field development plan to produce 70000 bbls/Day, 100 horizontal producers and 50 water injector wells in the Jobi-Rii field, a 1.7 billion barrels STOIIP field; optimized well patterns increased 57 million barrels resources.

oCoordinated Dual Straddle Packer Drill Stem Tests in Jobi-Rii, Jobi-East, and Kasamene wells in Uganda.

oCoordinated EOR research projects: at Clausthal University in Germany, proving polymers combined with lake Albert water reduces interfacial tension increasing the recovery factor; and developing a polymer shear model at Texas University in Austin Tx.

oCoordinated the implementation of a Gas Injection project 450 MMscf/day at 6500 psi and 290 F in El Furrial. Defining gas sources, treatment, and transport requirements. High Pressure gas compression equipment and cost estimations. Added reserve >200 million bbls. Coordinated laboratory tests slim tube, and SCAL at Westport lab. Compression system, process flow diagrams, risks and economics. Identified, and implemented high angle wells in El Furrial field, achieving 15-20% increased oil rates.

oGas Injection Feasibility Study for El Furrial field, identified miscible displacement injecting dry gas by compositional simulations. Coordinated slim tube tests, swelling tests to verify multiple contact miscibility, and special core analysis tests (SCAL) in Intevep, Core Lab. And Westport laboratories. Elaborated Process diagrams, compression facilities, cost estimates and economic evaluations. Gas effects in oil with high asphaltenes content and mitigation actions to prevent wells plugging 1991-92.

oCoordinated the design and construction of a 450.000 barrels/Day water injection project in El Furrial field, a 8 billion barrels reservoir, added incremental reserve of 1200 million barrels.

oCoordinated water-oil and gas-oil relative permeability’s in aged cores, capillary pressures, asphaltenes deposition onset and water compatibility.

oDesigned and coordinated implementation of Pilot water injection test in Furrial field.

oLead development of 250.000 bbls/d in El Furrial field.

oCoordinated dual completions in El Furrial field wells, doubling production per well from 7000 to 14000 bbls/day.
