During my employment with Applebee’s I held many positions from Kitchen Manager, Service Manager, to Bar Manager. I was in charge of overseeing 40-50 employees including scheduling, shift management, and training in all positions. As a Kitchen Manager I was responsible for inventory and food cost, ability to do proper food orders, and meet par levels. Also, ensured that back of house labor goals were met, all kitchen equipment was in good repair and functional, employee’s quality of life was satisfactory, and areas of responsibilities were completed. Worked in all stations and possessed the ability to train each station. Developed schedules and supervised to ensure all labor and operational goals were met. Above all my goal was to make sure every guest meal was prepared on time and to specifications.
As the Bar and Service Manager I was in charge of the servers, hostesses, and bartenders making sure that all new items and promotions were communicated to staff and trained according to specifications. Made sure the rest of the team on a daily basis was running smooth shifts while keeping an eye on labor and making sure that the restaurant is kept clean and maintained throughout the shift. While running an effective shift, I am over-seeing the restaurant and making sure all our guests are being taking care of by asking specific questions about certain items that they ordered to ensure a great experience. Profit and Loss reports were constantly checked to make sure all our lines are where they should be such as labor, food cost, supplies etc. I was one part of a four man team that makes sure our restaurant is running in the most efficient and profitable manner.
In conclusion, I started with the company as a bartender and was able to be promoted within the company all the way up to a Kitchen Manager which in the store is the second in charge under the General Manager. I am a very detailed oriented manager and am always ensuring the guests experience above all was exceptional.
