Research Experience
Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing Aircrafts (NASA) May 2022 - Current Undergraduate Researcher CSUSB
● Working to improve the efficiency of electric vertical take-off and landing aircrafts
(eVTOL) drones, using small scale quadcopters and hexacopters to later scale up.
● Calibration for the electronic stability control (ESC) of both copters
● Designing 3d parts for adapting different components to take different measurements while in flight.
● Used a test stand to recreate the same conditions of our blades to test the thrust and torque in 3 dimensions.
● Created a test bed to mount 4 Raspberry Pi’s as well as 12 Measurement Computing Data Acquisition (MCC DAQ HAT) to take inflight data, of the voltage and currents of each motor.
