WORK EXPERIENCE

Led the team to compete in the first international formula student electric competition, Formula Bharat 2024, hosted in India, and achieved overall 10th place out of 39 EV teams. Initiated Driverless subsystem of the team to target Formula Student Germany 2028 DV category.

Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle, including design validation, testing, budgeting, resource allocation, competition analysis, and timeline management. Coordinated with sponsors, faculty advisors, and industry professionals to secure funding and support for the team.

Material selection for the components of the SSWT

Structural analysis of the GFRP made wind turbine blade to suite dynamic loads in operation.

Designed the blade structure using SolidWorks 2022 and performed FEA simulations and modal analysis using Ansys 2022 for the blade to ensure structural integrity. Testing and validation to obtain Cp vs lambda curve for the SSWT design, by fabricating a test rig with the required electrical system.

Design and Development of a Small Scale Wind Turbine Final Year Project Aug 2023 - June 2024 Crank Shaft lifting Crane Mechanism DIMO PLC, Sri Lanka Designed and constructed a crank shaft lifting crane for a selected crank shaft grinding machine of the Engine Care department of DIMO PLC. The crane is designed to carry a maximum load of 500kg excluding self weight at the farthest point (9 feet) from the cantilever support. The load distance from the pivot point is adjustable from a carrier and chain lever block.
