Project 2 : SWIFT upgrades 2016

SWIFT operates a worldwide financial messaging network which exchanges messages between banks and other financial institutions. On an annual basis, SWIFT introduces message and field changes to support the financial industry requirements. Once the SWIFT Standards Committee approves the changes, a detailed explanation of the change and the implementation timeline is sent to the SWIFT members to ensure that their business processes and systems are in line with the SWIFT standards upgrade. Should any institution not comply with these standards, their messages are not recognized resulting in non-SWIFT based communication with other financial institutions. BaNCS is a core banking system that I worked on and I was mostly responsible for ensuring that all message types that are incoming and outgoing from BaNCS are updated according to the new changes and to see that they perform as business processes expected. The testing strategy in this project was driven through Agile methodologies
