Warehouse Assistant
I worked on the outbound dock where I helped sort the packages and made sure the critical packages made it to the trailer in time. I also helped the manager on shift prepare for the long ten hour day and placing people where they were needed. I had to chase down the CPTs, which stands for critical package time. I did this for five years in Salem, Oregon. I miss my job but I made a huge move to Iowa a week ago. I would love to work at another warehouse and I've heard great things about target.
Followed safety guidelines while operating machinery in the facility. Amazon is huge on safety so we always practiced safety through out the day.
Provided training for new staff members on safe handling procedures. I also was a learning ambassador who helped train the new members.
Used pallet jacks to move items to and from warehouse locations.
