Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

● Order stock as required, in a timely manner taking account of lead times. Monitor

stock levels to ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained, and maximum

stock levels are not exceeded.

● Monitor expected future stock requirements using stock history/QLIMS.

● Inform supervisor if minimum stock level is breached or suppliers’ delivery

timelines/quality performance gives cause for concern such as price variances,

non receipts of goods and supplier issues.

● Train new starts within the department, ensuring they are trained as per the

department training matrix.

● On a monthly basis, ensure all cycle-counts are completed and stock histories for

each stock area are completed.

● Review historical inventory analysis each month to review and update minimum

and re-order stock levels in agreement with the supervisor.

● Deal with Inter-lab shipping requests when required, ordering required goods and

shipping to other QLAB locations ensuring they are billed correctly.

● Source and procure new stock items for new study launches as and when required

following the new item sourcing

procedure.

● Work closely with the Lab dept on all stock related issues to include pricing

updates, delivery delays and any other Lab stock issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

● Collaborates in the development and the implementation of quality and food

safety improvement programs for Swift & Company suppliers.

● Coordinates and facilitates resolution of vendor quality, regulatory, and food

safety issues.

● Ensure that vendor systems / procedures / protocols are adequate to provide for

consistent raw material quality, regulatory requirements, and food safety.

● Routinely works cross functionally with groups such as Procurement, Consumer

Services, plant QA, Operations to identify vendor continuous improvement

opportunities and to achieve business objectives

● Assist in the development and the implementation of raw material specifications

by matching vendor capability with Swift & Company plant processes and

requirements.

● Provide input based on vendor capabilities in the development and

implementation of Swift & Company plant raw material evaluation procedures,

testing schemes and frequencies. Assures consistent methodology where

appropriate between Swift & Company and vendor laboratories.

● Work closely with USDA, Conducts audits on existing and potential suppliers,

issues timely reports and coordinates required follow-up actions.
