SUMMARY/PROFILE – I am an experienced Executive Assistant who has left full-time employment after 40 years. Looking for a part-time position where I can work remotely and use experiences garnered in positions held in the medical and dental fields. Typing speeds of over ninety words per minute coupled with strong skill sets in keyboarding, proofreading, organization, problem-solving, time management, and data entry may make me the candidate you are seeking. Reviews have presented me as detailed, dependable, and capable of working with limited oversight. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
VOLUNTEERING / RELEVANT EXPERIENCE / WORK HISTORY
For the last six months I have served the Kent County Sheriff Department serving as a volunteer with the Handicapped Enforcement Patrol unit.
Six years ago, I began serving as the Board Secretary for Home Repair Services (HRS), a local 501(c)(3) organization that specializes in offering repairs and financial services for seniors.
For over 30 years I have served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Michigan Board of Collegiate Volleyball Officials, and I recently returned to the Board to serve as a trustee.
In 1994 I was a co-founder of the West Michigan Volleyball Officials Association and have volunteered on the board on and off since then. I currently coordinate and oversee the training for the 115+ high school volleyball officials in West Michigan, in addition to returning to the secretary position.
Prior long-term full-time employment positions were at MC Sports Gantos, and iBelieve.com-Family Christian Stores where I worked as the executive assistant to presidents and vice presidents. Unfortunately, all these companies went through bankruptcy and liquidated causing my retirement.
Before my career in retail, I had worked in the world of medical (hospital), and dental (office), after completing school and earning my Dental Association Certification.
Became the Director of Officials for the Michigan Community College Athletic Association in 1994 and remain in this position to this day. In addition to officiating college volleyball myself, I continue to evaluate and train the 70+ collegiate officials in Michigan, as well as assigning officials to individual volleyball matches throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana.
