Research Fellowship, New York University Sep 2018 – Aug 2023 Research in dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and dynamic mechanical thermos-analysis (DMTA) of nanomaterials and polymer modified cementitious composites, using Instron instruments to test static mechanical properties and measuring viscoelasticity of materials by Anton Paar Multidrive Rheometer. Develop novel graphene and polymer modified cementitious composites and improve its dynamic behaviors with statistical analysis and microstructure characterization of SEM. In addition, study the viscoelasticity and dynamic performance of engineered cementitious composites (ECC). Rich experience in standard testing for static and dynamic performances.

Created a preparation method of porous graphene paper as electrodes for supercapacitors by layer-by-layer self-assembling on the Cu foil and thermal shock reduction process and investigated the application of 3D graphene electrodes for batteries (LIBs).

Synthesized 3D graphene hydrogel by hydrothermal method and obtained the 3D graphene with high porosity and specific surface area through high temperature annealing process with KOH. Assembled half-cell Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIBs) using 3D graphene. Studied the electrochemical properties of 3D graphene by using galvanostatic charge-discharge and cyclic voltammetry tests.
