JOB DESCRIPTION

Chairman of Internationally known Indigenous Peoples Non-Government Organization: As real and full blooded Higa-onon Tribe, I was commissioned by the whole Tribal community to manage and oversee the best things that could be imparted to the needy and neglected Tribe. They installed me as a Chairman of the internationally known indigenous Peoples Organization. I took the chance to help them and flourished it, making linkages, networking and partnering international funders. On the other hand, by MAGBABAYA/God’s grace, we were lucky, because we got Australian Government funding to help the communities. I have done my best as a chairman of my own tribe. I help them to be heard internationally and that was materialized.

Tribal Dance Choreographer, Short and long stories writer and Song’s composer: As a Higa-onon Tribal blood, I am very well versed in arranging dances. We had built a Higa-onon Tribe Dance Troupe in our places. We produce DVD’’s and CDs for our own original dance. We performed everywhere to show the real tradition of the first people. On the other hand, I had also made a story book for the Tribal People. Lastly, I composed traditional songs and put it in the DVD and CD.

Organizer of the Forest Rangers: As a prince of the Higa-onon Indigenous peoples, I organized the Forest Rangers as the protector of the forest which is the habitat of the tribe. Since time immemorial, forest is the safe haven of the tribal people, where belief, practices, culture and tradition anchored with in the ecosystem. With out the presence of forest, tribal people will not survive. The purpose of the forest Rangers is to mainly protect the entry of the miners, hunters and loggers in the tribal territory as they also called it ancestral domain.
