Emergency Room: Develop a plan of care for the patient’s point of care tests, including STEMI notification (balloon to door time), blood transfusion, IV insertion, blood, and urine cultures, transfer the patient to inpatient, discharge planning of every old adult/adolescent patient, problem-focused/patient-centered and independent decision making.
Observation: Chest pain/medical: Developed individualized plan of care, monitor patients with unstable angina, rule out STEMI by collecting every four-hour lab work for cardiac enzyme (Troponin I) and lactic acid for Rhabdomyolysis; contact a physician for abnormal Labs and make necessary recommendations for some medical inventions such consulting sepsis and rapid response team, maintain IV fluids for dehydrated patients, transfer patients to in-patient.
Orthopedics: Oncology/ Gastroenterology, and Other Medical/Surgical Units /Cross Trained in CV&MIMU: Proficient in monitoring patients post chemotherapy and count recovery, observing patients on neutropenic precaution. Competent in caring for adult patients with intermediate critical needs; this includes continuous cardiac monitoring of patients with heart surgeries, CHF patients on milrinone drip for heart failure, Cardizem drip for HTN, ETC. Manage post-op knee and Hip arthroplasty.
