Job Responsibilities
Design of Sustainable Building Engineering Services (Lighting, Power, Fire Alarm, Telephone, Data, CCTV, Access Control), keeping abreast with the most current viable technology, local authority and equipment capabilities and adhering to global standards.
Technical evaluation as well as Peer review of the project requirements. Design the building service in line with the requirement of GREEN building regulations i.e. Estidama, EHS, USGBC wherever required. Preparation of MEP Design Questionnaire in coordination with Mechanical Engineer.
Preparation of Space Planning in coordination with Mechanical Engineer. Preparation of Design Basis Report and support Design team to ensure the desired quality.
Develop Electrical load Calculations and detailed load schedules in CEC formats.
Selection and design of Electrical equipment, panels and cable sizing. Review of Electrical design drawings at all design stages. Ensure typical installation details, general notes and as well as Electrical Specifications are project specific.
Liaison with supplier to obtain details of equipment data. Review and refinement of design drawings at all design stages. Updating of new authority standards/regulations to adopt in current design standards.
Prepare/Assist in developing Project Specifications and BOQ Review Material submittal and shop drawings, if required. Site visit/site inspection to support project execution team as and when required based on project nature.
