· Assess patients prior to their vascular procedure, enter all pertinent health information into their computerized chart and give report to the physician.
· Prep them for their procedure by explaining the procedure with the physician and witnessing their consent, starting an IV access device.
· Recover and assess the stability of the patient. Discharge the patients after full instructions are given to the patient and caregiver.
Post follow up care given over the phone to assess patient and family are following discharge orders and that they were healthy and safe at 24-48 hours and 2weeks from procedure.
· As the safety manager of the facility I assess the physical plant for all safety requirements on a monthly basis, I keep the crash cart checked and updated for all supplies.
