WORK EXPERIENCE

Retail Store Associate

August 2021- February 2023

Houston Astros (MMP)

●As an associate, every day it's restocking before opening to the public at the ballpark. It's an hour or 2 before we open and all associates in the store are in charge of counting the merchandise and distributing it to different sections in the store. From small merchandise like pencils, magnets, and keychains to jerseys, hats and bats, everything must be displayed and for sale.

●When the time comes to open the stadium, it's another 2 hours before the game starts and we are in charge of being out on the floor and being aware of customers from stealing or breaking merchandise or swapping price tags or horseplay from customers.

●Our jobs as a sales associate is to attend the cash registers, attend and answer customers who are lost, have questions about incoming merchandise or of available merchandise in the store or price check on the merchandise. These actions are carried out until after the game is over. When the game is over, 30 minutes or less until the store closes and when we close, we clean up the store. From sweeping and dusting the lights from dandruff and cobwebs that fall in the night, and wiping down our work areas from the register counters and window shields with disinfectant wipes.

Walmart

Like the Astros, it is up to me and a team of 6 to stock merchandise from a pallet and that's most of our day, just as stockers while we approach customers and ask if they need assistance, or if a customer stops and asks us a question.

Pick up small bits of trash to avoid any kind of customer spill as well.

Tutor

Condit Elementary School

●As a tutor, find myself open to students so they can come up to me or interrupt me as I walk them through step by step their struggles in a certain class.

●Ask any students if they're struggling to (in case they are struggling) review their work and a quick check for understanding.

●Have students come to my desk and have a 1-on-1 conversation about their work and show how they got their answer as well.
