PROJECT
Human detection, tracking and counting In/ Out line
• Detect people using the object detection model with Ultralytics YOLOv8.
• Mark the centroid on the detected person and track the movement of that marked centroid.
• Count and update the number of people coming in or going out of a reference line. Parking space detection and counter
• Implement Connected Components in Graph Theory to locate all the parking spots.
• Train an image classifier using Scikit-learn to determine the occupancy of a parking spot.
• Count the number of empty spots in real-time with up-to-date information on the parking space availability.
Automatic number plate recognition
• Detect and localize a license plate in an input image/frame.
• Extract the characters from the license plate.
• Apply some forms of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to recognize the extracted characters. 2
