Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities: texturing and polishing blocks of stone, mixing cement and mortar, and restoring old and damaged masonry works. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assisting supervisors with structural designs, conduct repair works and installation, ability to assess the quality of woodworks and materials, ability to operate tools, machines and other equipments, ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull and lift heavy objects.

Mason Duties and Responsibilities: operate hand or power tools and related equipment in the removal of concrete and disposal of debris. Install, repair, and maintain masonry structure such as brick walls, chimneys, and bridges. Build and repair floors and walls, using mortar, concrete, bricks, blocks, stone, marble, and other building materials. Building structures with stone, concrete and tile. Cutting, shaping and dressing materials. Lifting, carrying and placing prepared blocks.

Tile Setter Duties and Responsibilities: cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.Preparing, measuring and marking surfaces to be covered.Laying and setting tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs.Mixing, applying and spreading cement, glue or other adhesive using hand tools.Aligning and straightening tiles using levels and squares. Meeting with clients to discuss their tiling and marbling needs.Measuring the area that must be tiled or marbled to determine stock requirements.Gathering tiling equipment.Cutting and shaping tiles according to its desired size.Cleaning and leveling the surface area.Applying tiling cement and arranging tiles according to design plans.Applying tiling grout.Cleaning off excess grout and conducting post-installation inspections.
