Report directly to the DoD HPCMP SAIC Program Manager on the status of daily issues, escalations, and risk management for all DSRC’s within the HPCMP.
Complete trend analysis based on historical data of critical issues throughout the HPCMP.
Oversee the Root Cause Analysis reports for all Severity 1 issues within the HPCMP.
Oversee Daily Operations and Manage Facility Staff across the four (4) DoD HPCMP sites throughout the country on behalf of the Department of Defense (Air Force, Navy, and Army Sites).
Develop facility requirements and/or assist engineering firms in developing requirements for new supercomputer/data center projects. Complete detailed cost analysis to ensure profitability and ongoing viability of all projects; including mechanical/chiller plants, emergency power, general power infrastructure, and architecture upgrades.
Manage and Oversee Design Build Efforts for all new Data Center construction projects, which often consist of creating a design from scratch and/or reviewing engineering drawings that meet requirements for large electrical industrial equipment with mechanical chilled water solutions. Create the corresponding AutoCAD drawings and develop scope to solicit vendors. Once funded, ensure Project Managers and/or selected contractors meet milestones on time and within budget. Resolve issues as needed.
Ensure newly constructed areas meet all security requirements, including Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) meeting the ICS-701-1 requirements.
Work with the Contracting Officer and/or the ARL COTR to agree to Key Progress Indicators and ensure all milestones are met, per contract requirements.
Work with Contracting Officer and ARL COTR on Procurement related activities.
Ensure any new project requirements are properly documented throughout the enterprise, develop SOW’s and schedules as required, work with procurement organizations to assist or lead bidder conferences.
Leverage staff members across sites to troubleshoot issues, meet requirements, provide temporary assistance to other sites as needed, and ensure facility best practices are shared and implemented across the enterprise.
Identify staffing needs and coordinate with Program Management and Human Resources to fill vacancies.
Perform staff management functions, skill development, appraisal assessment, and career planning of staff members. Promote synergy and information sharing across multiple sites/branches of the Department of Defense.
Lead the Daily Service Report and update Senior Management through a mirage of reports.
Ensure maintenance plans and system documentation is accurate and properly maintained.

Ensure team and vendor compliance with environmental health or safety regulations and security procedures.

Examine the status of projects, manage schedules, organize status reports, and schedule the engineering activities; repair, replace and re-design data center facilities comprising preventive maintenance and emergency repair on chillers, cooling towers, data center pumping units, air handlers, transfer switchgear, generators, power distribution units, battery and flywheel UPS's and transformers.
Created proposals and performed detailed cost analysis to ensure profitability and ongoing viability on new programs; managed new projects and ongoing mission critical escalations with several vendors.
Mitigated all risks to lower the overall project risk and update the status on current projects; followed the guidelines to locate, negotiate, and procure critical components needed to ensure success.
