Data Engineering Analyst May 2021-Present

Working on a data migration project as an ETL tester where the data is migrating from on prem to cloud environment.

Extracting and loading data from teradata to GCP big-query using CDAP pipelines, cloud data fusion pipelines,composer and airflow (Dag’s) on telecom domain project.

Extracting and loading data from Toad to AWS snowflake using IICS and UC4 jobs on healthcare domain project.

Data load will be done by running the dags and pipelines from teradata to big query using airflow and CDAP pipelines in GCP.

In snowflake the data load will be done by triggering the jobs in UC4.

To understand the design document and test requirements need to derive the test scenarios by writing the test cases and documenting them.

Once the data is extracted from on-prem (Teradata or Toad) to cloud environment (Big query or snowflake) need to test the data in dB on both source and target based on the design documentation.

By understanding design document transformation logics need to write the SQL queries table wise and execute them in source and target DB.

Tracking the test cases by uploading them into the ALM (Application Life Cycle Management) by executing them manually once testing is completed.

If any discrepancy in data needs to be resolved by raising the issues in defects and tracking them using ALM and Jira tickets.
