During California’s re season I operated in the capacity of a forest/Wildland rel ghter. Duties included constructing containment line, conducting controlled burn operations,direct attack operations as well as indirect attacks. We were also deployed to do o forest rehabbing and fuel mitigation and watershed protection.

During the off season I was the facility’s sole water/wastewater treatment operator. I was in charge of the health and maintenance of the wells. I monitored water quality to keep in compliance of California water regulations. I conducted a myriad of sample collecting and testing, as well addressing banned or level regulated constintuants that were present in the water. I did erosion control and algae population control, I maintained all the pumps, pipes, starters and motors. I also gained more than half the required 1800 training hrs. I earned over 1080 hrs. I maintained the ponds and the water treatment storage tanks. I also developed and constructed an entire grey water system that complied with regulations on discharge amounts and contaminants that were allowed. As the apprentice to the General Contractor I assisted in every aspect of the building process. I’ve either assisted in or carried out myself ;under observation of course, full rewires, installation of devices and appliances. I have assisted in the pooring of foundations to the nishing of walkways. I’ve done both nish and tough carpentry and pounding, residential and commercial, indoor and out door applications as well. I’ve done a little tile and plenty of xture installation. I’ve been in every position from only being quali ed to clean up to being comfortable with entire sections of a build under my supervision and my responsibility.
