During my 3-month run as a value stream manager, I was responsible for the roll out of the front-line management system. I led a team of 10 supervisors, 20 team leaders and 534 union operators over 3 shifts.
Led the glass fabrication department to support a large-scale manufacturing facility.
Led multiple Kaizen events and trained at and utilized problem solving techniques, this led to achieving a 30% reduction in waste in the glass fabrication center.
Responsible for the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and led 12 Kaizen events in the assembly areas of our facility. This also led to achieving efficiency and output improvements ranging from 15% to 65%.
Developed safety protocols, coordinated with supply chain teams, and optimized material flow. Along with the support of our work health team I was able to provide my teams with electric hand jacks, lift assist tools and design changes to current tooling to improve overall safety. In my 14 years with Andersen, I am proud to have a record of zero recordable instances in any of my areas.
