As a certified medical technologist with many years of experience, I am proficient in hematology, chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, and specimen processing. During my career I worked as a generalist, a technical coordinator, and a supervisor. Operating in various capacities within the laboratory has given me a well-rounded perspective of the challenges facing the clinical laboratory.

Quality controls and calibrations are performed with each test. Troubleshooting and technical support, as needed.
Working as a medical technologist in a high complexity laboratory within a physician’s
office, has helped to maintain my skills as a technologist. I can work independently and I am always aware and willing to assist others when necessary.
Solstas Laboratories (2010-2012)
Technical Coordinator
As the technical coordinator for Solstas Laboratories, I was responsible for reviewing quality controls for various physician office locations throughout the Charlotte region. The position also required on-site inspections. During each site visit, I would review all record keeping, address problems and/or employee concerns, and ensure that all office supplies were adequate and within expiration date. This position required me to have a working knowledge of all instrumentation for each site, an understanding of how each site functioned, and to understand the needs of each office and its physicians.
