To the hiring manager,
I am interested in joining the team as an assistant. My spouse is moving from a remote position in Indiana to in-office in Schenectady, NY. Our move is set for June, so I am hoping to have a position lined up to start after the 4th of July weekend or sooner. I finished my training as a dental assistant at Ivy Tech in August 2022 and moved immediately to a position with Dr. Eriks from my externship. He has been an excellent mentor and has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and confidence. I have been predominantly a chairside assistant, assisting with preventative care, restorations, surgical procedures and prosthodontics.
I have many years of experience working with people in many roles. I have been a school bus driver for 15 years and substitute teacher for 2 years. I have worked in customer service in some form since 1994. My focus at any job is to be helpful and make someone’s day better. I like to be organized and maintain structure, but am also flexible when it is needed. I have been a volunteer support for 4H, boy scouts, band and dance. I am comfortable connecting with and interacting with people.
