Experience

Integris Gastroenterology: October 2023 to present. Clinic LPN for GI provider. Duties include scheduling surgical procedures with close coordination with surgical departments. Management of triage and scheduling calls. Scheduling and management of incoming referrals. Notification and follow up of procedures to make a positive outcome for patient. Working with in the GI office gave me the ability to work on time management skills and assist all office staff for positive outcomes.

Journey Clinic: January 2023 to September 2023. Lead LPN for surgical and medical weight loss clinic. Duties include management of staff, report completion/management, scheduling surgical procedures and assisting in new hire selection and process. Part of management team helping develop processes and procedures for clinic implementation. Responsible for coverage assistance due to employee call in or scheduled time out. Responsible for clinic visit process and preparing patients for surgery. Working in this position helped me gain a better understanding of the management process and duties.

The Fairmont Skilled Nursing and Rehab: October 2022 to December 2022- PDPM case manager/ADON. Duties included entering information for payment driven model for services, assessments, and administrative duties. As a PDPM case manager my task was to assess new residents and determine needs for their stay on a skilled unit, set up PDPM MDS assessments and discharge plans. I was required to take call and handle staff call ins and cover shifts related to short staffing. Working in this position let me help a various number of residents complete their goals and be a part of them succeeding in returning home.

Ascension St John Medical Group: May -September 2022-Coumadin management nurse for high volume family practice office. As the coumadin nurse I monitored patient’s levels and adjusted medication dosage as per protocol. While monitoring coumadin patients I also assisted in the office helping where staffing was low. While working for a high-volume internal medicine provider I managed call pools, submitted referrals, and roomed patients for follow up and new appointment. Working in various aspects of the clinic lets me reach many different patients and assist them in their day-to-day care management.

Utica Park Population Health Services: October 2021 to May 2022-Responsibilites include following up with patients for post hospital care. Making sure that patients receive all discharge services, medications, and ancillary services. Working with patients to improve and manage their disease process while providing access to service to help improve their outcomes. Working with patients closely provide rewarding relationships and knowing that hey will receive the best care possible.

Utica Park Pulmonology: February 2020-September 2021 Primary office nurse for high volume pulmonologist. Responsible for specialty drug authorizations scheduling hospital procedures, rooming patients, and notifying patients of results. Epic charting system used to notify patients through my chart regarding results and following up with patient concerns. Floating for other respiratory providers and helping with staff messages to help return call to patients. Administration of pneumococcal and covid vaccines. Working in pulmonology provided me with new experience in a field of my interest. It allowed me to gain knowledge of disease process in which I was unfamiliar.

Education

Western Technology Center in Burns Flat Ok: completed LPN program in July 1999 and received board certification from the Oklahoma board on nursing in August of 1999. Unencumbered license held since then.
