Hello!
I am Sonal.
I work with people, data,
pixels, and vector. I help
brands resonate with their
audience.
Let’s go on a visual journey!
Design is more than aesthetics.
Good design aids in making a series
of processes or experiences feel seamless.
This starts through listening and empathizing.
Brand:
Ozark Natural Grilling Pellets, (ONGP).
Target Audience:
Outdoorsy, backyard folks that want the grill
taste of a Pitt master griller without the years
of experience. Proud to be an American that
purchases and uses made in USA products.
Objective:
Rebrand the current 20lb polybag packaging.
Rebrand the logo.
Packaging and logo of the brand has to have a
look and feel of an All American high quality
grilling pellet that is trustworthy and reliabile
to give the flavor like a Pitt master.
Process:
Began rebrand with logo since this will be on every expression of the brand. ONGP is originally a multi- generational family owned and run. Historically ONGP were lumber jacks and wanted to retain their original saw blade logo for sentimental reasons. Eventually, they were pursuaded away from the blade logo.

Process:
Conclusion:
Once it became clear who the target audience
is and their interests and needs and what is
important to them designing the logo became
more apparent. The 20 lb polybag design
came together pretty swiftly after the logo
design was approved. The sides indicating
flavor through copy and color was required
to distinguish the 7 flavors when stacked on a
palette. The main center plate would remain
orange and off white while the various flavor
color plates would swap out.
Flavors:
Six additional flavors beside the Classic Blend. The other six were Hickory Blend, Mesquite Blend, Pecan Blend, Competitive Blend, Apple Blend and Charcoal Blend. By creating consistent visual layout for the various flavored bags help their clients trust the value of ONGP’s product. Wall signage mockup of logo.
The process of designing is analytical and
sometimes playful, nuanced and yet bold,
structured while being creative. It is often a
juxtaposing of opposites.
Client:
Self initiated project for Diamondback bicycles.
Objective:
Client currently has a type logo solution and I would like to explore different graphical solutions to represent their products that they can use on their bikes, websites, social media, apparel accessories etc. Currently, the DB logo is not as graphically catchy as a standalone graphic logo. They have international product reach. A graphic logo that is more towards a look and feel of a universal icon would be ideal. Variation of current typogragical logo solutions for DB found online. Process:
Online research was done of past history, types of bikes, target audience for this market. Next, researched the past logos as well as the current logo they have. It turns out Diamondback Bicycles have a graphical logo but it still uses a typographical solution. I began sketching on the computer for possible solutions where they left off. So I started with my version of a typographical logo to get the juices flowing and proceeded onto graphical solutions. My typographical logo solution for DB.
Executed in Adobe Illustrator.
Executed in Adobe Illustrator.
Conclusion:
Ultimately, I went with the splitting two overlapped hexagons that has the diamond in the middle with what looks like a back arrow, (on the left), thus indicating the name diamond back. I kept the forward arrows, (on the right) but showed gradiant going forward as a bicycle which is a symbol of transportation.
Brand guidelines:
Application of Logo:
He who has health, has hope; and
he who has hope, has everything.

Client:
Healthway Pharmacy
Project:
Brand Identity design for healthcare startup.
Problem:
The client is a relatively new pharmacist residing in a very saturated market. When working for a big named pharmacy he found his hours were limited and wanted to work more hours. He realized the competing big named pharmacies also had limited job openings and hours. The pharmacist decided venturing out to open up his own pharmacy. A new logo is needed to communicate to his potential clients that Healthway Pharmacy is a trusted healthcare partner in their community. WARNING: No Extra Hours.
Process:
After doing the research I began sketching and settled on a combination of these symbols in one logo consolidating it and paying homage to the history of the field as well using current symbols. In doing so the logo ends up visually telling the story of the field of pharmacy.

Conclusion... The Final Brand Identity:
After a few meetings and discussions about the color palette the logo was presented with numerous color variations. Eventually the HP/RX was dropped from the cup for a cleaner look. The color blue was chosen to give a professional yet non threatening, calming feel. Green is often representing nature and tranquility. The Healthway Pharmacy serves the local community and is a partner in keeping their clients healthy.
