RESPONSIBILITIES :

Reporting to Chief Operating officer and leading a team of Chettinad Engineers and

Operation and Maintenance team (Hofincon) for the following activities.

1.Complete Operation and Maintenance of Captive Power plants and Waste Heat Recovery Power Plants.

2. Complete day to day operation, maintenance and monitoring of various critical

Parameters of Plant Load factors (PLF), Availability, Heat Rate, Aux power

Consumption, Variable cost & Fixed cost of Power Generation.

3. Preparation of Tender for the Operation and maintenance contract and awarding to the

successful bidder. Conducting various meeting with O&M contractor for smooth

running of Power Plant.

4. Planning and Implementation of Preventive maintenance schedule and Condition monitoring of equipments. Planning and completion of shutdown activities as per the targets.

Having 53.5 Mwe Co-Generation plant, which is equipped with Axial flow Impulse

Turbine of M/S ABB Make, having 3 Boilers of each 110 TPH, 64 Kg/sq.cm at 485

Deg.c.

One Waste Heat Recovery Boiler manufactured by M/S AMERICAN SCHACK, USA

&the second is Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion Boiler by M/S FOSTER

WHEELER LTD, USA & the third one is Waste Heat Recovery Boiler by GEC

ALSTOM.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Reporting to General Manager (Operations). Leading a team of Engineers and

Technicians for the following activities.

1. Completion of all balance of plant system erection and commissioning i.e Coke, Lime, Fuel handling system and auxiliary steam supply system within the scheduled dates. Includes Planning and Procurement of material requirement to support the erection.

2. Coordinated with M/s AMERICAN SCHACK,USA & M/s L&T for the complete erection and commissioning of Waste heat recovery boiler 110T/hr,64 kg/cm2&485·c.

3. Coordinated with M/S ALSTOM, USA for the complete erection and commissioning of Waste heat recovery boiler 110 T/hr, 64 kg/cm2&485·c.

4. Coordinated with M/s FOSTER WHEELER INC, USA for the complete erection and commissioning of India’s first coke fired circulating fluidized bed combustion boiler.

5. Follow up of erection and commissioning of entire power plant in association with M/s SURGENT&LUNDY, USA

6. Coordinated with M/S THERMAX, INDIA for the complete erection and commissioning of auxiliary boiler 4 T/hr, 10.54 kg/cm2& 100·c

7. Preparation of ISO documentation and implementation of the same and training of Engineers and Technicians for ISO.

Having 3 x 30 MW Power plant with three numbers of M/s Bharat Heavy Electricals, India mark IV Turbines and 3 Numbers of M/s BOBCOCK make Pulverized Fuel fired Boilers of each 265T/Hr,106 Kg/Cm2 at 485· C

RESPONSIBILITES:

Reporting to Engineer-In-Charge. Leading a team of technicians and coordinated with M/s Tata Projects Ltd,M/s Bobcoke &Wilcox and M/s BHEL for the following activities.

1.Commissioning of Steam Generators of 3x 265T/Hr and 106 kg/cm2 at 485·c,

2.Commissioning of BHEL make 3x30 Mwe Mark –IV turbine.

3.Involved in Annual overhauling of steam generators, Induced draught fans, Forced draught fans.

4.Involved in maintenance of all types of pumps including Boiler Feed Pumps, Condensate Extraction Pumps, and Circulating water pumps.

5.Involved in preventive, breakdown maintenance and overhauling of ball& race ABL make 8.5E mills of capacity 30.2 T/hr

6.Involved in preventive,breakdown maintenance and overhauling of Ingersoll-Rand make-Reciprocating multistage compressors (855 m3/hr &8.1 kg/cm2)
