Background: Mueller doesn’t have a Boomi team, they brought me in to work with their internal Database Admin to conduct Boomi development
Project 1: HOVER Job Export Project: automate the flow of exporting HOVER job, 3D roof model data, roofing measurements into MIRA. (Mueller Integrated Roofing Application).
Project 2: ACT Building Systems Price Update Automation Project: Track JDE for price update, merge with ACT current price, then update into ACT. This automation saved multiple day manual job into an integration process that only takes 10 minutes.
Project 3: Google Analytics Project: Replace Google’s Universal Analytics with new work to extract data from Google Analytics 4 (GA4) API.
Project 4: HOVER Archive Project: Identify the outdated and unupdated HOVER jobs and markt them in Archived.
Food for the Hungry (Christian international relief, development, and advocacy organization)
Background: FH has a Boomi team but they are lacking of experience on Boomi exception handling strategies.
FH brought me in to review their existing integrations and standardize their exception handling strategies.
I implemented a comprehensive exception handling strategy for FH.
When FH went into UAT and Production Promotion phase, unexpected API issues and Boomi extension issues prevented FH from being UAT ready and Production ready. At the crunch time, I helped FH during the off hours in identifying the issues and provided solution which helped achieving their milestones.

Mayo Clinic (Top-ranked Hospital in the Nation)
Background: Mayo brought UKG Workforce Dimensions to manage HR information such as Employees Summary, Schedules, Workforce Planning, Cost Centers, Labor Categories, Effort Distribution.
UKG Workforce Dimensions has its own unique Boomi infrastructure and Boomi process templates.
Project 1: Mayo Wave 1 integration production issue troubleshooting and enhancement.
1) ServiceNow: ServiceNow tickets are created, but configuration item is not valid so that ServiceNow Ticket could not be created.
2) Splunk logging: Splunk tickets are not created into the expected environment.
3) Empty file handling: Identify empty files from Oracle, suppress the exception and create Splunk tickets for this file.
4) UKG has a complicated procedure to executed Boomi integrations. I implemented a framework to execute Boomi processes in test mode in an easy way. This enhanced the whole team’s efficiency on implementation and debugging.
5) Troubleshooting in Labor Category Level 5 and 6: Mayo is experiencing a behavior where some new Labor Category entries are not inserted into UKG. This is impacting Employee Demographics and Employee Scheduling, as the expected Labor Categorzies are missing.
Project 2: Mayo Wave 2 development
1) Hospital IQ(operations management software) integration with UKG on shifts, schedule, employee information.
2) EDSAS(Employee scheduling application): Filter for schedules for people inside that Hyperfind.
3) SailPoint(Employee access right management appplication): Add and remove entitlement into UKG.
4) Composed a Boomi process which automatically retrieves token, which enabled testing in Boomi Test Mode.
5) Serve as Boomi go to person with my team, bring up with whole team’s Boomi experience by working with team members on their Boomi implementation.
Post Consumer Brands (American consumer packaged goods food manufacturer)
Background: Post has multiple Boomi projects on Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Transformation and Enterprise Asset Management.
I joined Post to work mainly on Product Lifecycle Management and oversee all Boomi projects as a Boomi architect.

Background: Forescout has a small Boomi team with a offshore Boomi team. Forescout hired me to serve as their Boomi architect who regulates overall Boomi development and lead the offshore Boomi team.
Forescout is conducting a project to replace NetSuite with Oracle Cloud as their ERP system. Need to implement a Order-To-Cash workflow which includes a chain of Boomi processes.
As the same time, Forescout needs to maintain current NetSuite integrations in Production Environment.

Background: One of Perficient client GexPro started Ecommerce project using Boomi as the integration platform among ERP system and their Ecommerce System. Perficient hired me and the Boomi Architect and the only Boomi developer to carry end-to-end Boomi development.

Background: LA-Metro has a Boomi team with a number of junior Boomi developers. LA-Metro expected me to improve their overall Boomi expertise and create a Boomi development standard.
LA-Metro gathered Boomi questions and requests from multiple teams. I illustrated the answers through sample processes and documentations.
Throuph Zoom Presentation, I shared answers to broader LA-Metro teams. Positive feedbacks were received from team members.

For Law Firm, before in-take any customer, they need to analyze the customer to avoid Risk and Conflict. I worked with the most popular Law Firm in-take application: IntApp.
Law Firms has more restrict access regulation. I resolved Law Firm issues using Boomi Platform API on Boomi Cloud Atom to call process that resides in Boomi On-premise Atom.

BHI Energy (Westinghouse Electric Corporation Subsidiary: Nation-Wide Energy Solution and Management Service Provider)
Background: As a Boomi integration lead, I started BHI Energy Boomi practice from scratch. BHI is focusing on HR related integrations.
Major target systems: UKG Workforce Dimension, UltiPro, Fulcrum, Sage, SmartSearch.
Challenge 1: BHI has a tight deadline. I need to drive the Boomi integration development by making a cohesive collaboration.
Work with executive team on Boomi project scoping and milestone definition.
Because BHI doesn’t have prior experience in Boomi, I need to guide the teams how to collaborate within Boomi and integration context.
Review Boomi packages and quote to choose the best Edition for BHI.
Setup Boomi account from scratch. Setup folder structure, build up Boomi general architecture and bring in version control practise.
Project 1: Activities Definition Import from Fulcrum to UKG Workforce Dimension. Developed a file-based integration framework.
Project 2: Activities Transaction Import from Non-Standard Flat File to UKG Workforce Dimension. Data will be used to manage BHI work labor activities, work order status, schedule and hours.

Background: Sabre has both finance and HR related processes that ran for multiple years. They need production maintenance and troubleshooting.

AtHome (Nation-Wide Home Decor Superstore)
Background: AtHome already has a Boomi Team. However, they are facing Boomi production issues and performance issues.
Major target systems: JDA, Manhattan Active Omni(MAO), UKG Workforce Dimension.
Challenge 1: I was hired by AtHome to improve existing integrations and improve their overall Boomi practice.
Discuss with multiple Boomi team members to analyze their difficulty.
Proposed my idea to improve AtHome Boomi development workflow.
Composing a list of improvements including “Boomi Folder Management”, “Error Handling”, “Version Control”.
My proposals are well appreciated by AtHome Boomi Team, working with them to implement the proposals.
Project 1: Send TLOGs to JDA and Agilence. Retrieve TLOGs from AtHome Database, convert into JSON, send to JDA and Agilence.
Resolved Agilence SFTP “Permission Denied” issue and “Error EOF” issue.
Project 2: Retreive WorkHours and Schedules file from UKG Workforce Dimension, decrypt files and send to AtHome BI folder.
Designed, proposed and implemented a file-based integration streagy which included both auditing and failure handling.

Background: DTE just decided to use as their integration platform. I built up DTE Boomi practice from scratch.
MIGreenPower Project: Migrate Customer information from into Salesforce
Major target systems: Energy Cloud (‘EU Cloud’), SAP, Salesforce.
Use Case 1: Second Meter Scenario: some customers may use general rate as MIGreenPower Rate for the EV Charger requires a separate meter/installation
Use Case 2: Restaurant on Small Business Rate: EV D19 Rate charger outside of business has its own installation; so 2 different rate schedules for 2 different installations

Boomi account setup and initial configuration.
Designed a database assisted infrastructure to perform audition and tracking.
Veolia Environment S.A (World-Wide Water Management, Waste Management and Energy Services Provider)
Background: Veolia is attempting to implement an automated procurement business workflow.
Major target systems: SAP Ariba(Procurement Management System), OWAM(Warehouse and Asset Management), SAP HANA S4(ERP).
Data object: Requisition, Purchase Order, Receipt, Invoice.
Using Boomi, procurement documents are passed among SAP HANA S4, OWAM, SAP Ariba to form a close loop procurement workflow.
Worked with business analyst to compose a procurement business workflow requirement. This requirement linked multiple Boomi integration processes to form a sequential workflow.
Using Boomi cache, consolidate multiple data sources to perform complex mapping into Requisition and Purchase Order, which contains one header and multiple line items.
S4 to OWAM integrations are file-based. I designed a file-based integration strategy which enabled archiving, error handling and auditing.
High volume SAP records retrieval with paging. Too large volume of data resulted in HTTP time-out. This issue has been a major issue for Veolia for a long time. I designed a strategy to break up the data load into pages using ODATA $Top and $Skip parameters. This strategy enabled Veolia to process large data volume in a single integration execution.
AVI-SPL (Nation-Wide Multi-Office Collaboration And Audio Video Technologies Provider)
Background: AVI-SPL is attempting to implement a E-Commerce System to enable Customers to purchase AVI-SPL products online. This process involves CRM, Procurement workflow and Order Processing workflow.
Major target systems: Salesforce(CRM), SAP Ariba(Procurement Management System), Sage(Business Cloud Accounting).
Challenge 1: Previous Boomi consultant was lacking of technical capability to drive this project. This project was endangered to hurt the enterprice level business planning. AVI-SPL hired me to be the new Boomi subject matter expert and help them carry this project on.
Challenge 2: AVI-SPL has a tight timeline and high pressure from executive level management.
Regulated collobration pattern among Boomi and application stakeholders, took on development work to achieve immediate Boomi progress.
Within 3 weeks, turned endangered Boomi project back on track, enlightened AVI-SPL’s hope on Boomi again.
ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers)
Project 1: ASCAP is attempting to migrate Radio data from Legacy Salesforce System to New Salesforce System.
Major target systems: Legacy Salesforce System, New Salesforce System.
Data objects: Radio entity, Account, Contact, License, Agreement, Policy.
Challenge 1: Large data volume migration needs to be done within 3 days. For this challenge, I designed and implemented multiple thread strategy to increase the throughput by 5 times.
Challenge 2: Large volume integration may fail in middle. For this challenge, I designed and implemented auditing table architecture using AWS PostgreSQL database to enable a global view of migration progress.
Challenge 3: Legacy Salesforce and New Salesforce has different data object structure. For this challenge, I worked with business analyst to compose a mapping specification that best suits the business workflow.
Challenge 4: Large data process may have many interim errors, sending these errors separately will flood the email inbox. For this challenge, I implemented error consolidation and notification mechanism. After each migration execution, errors are consolidated and sent to user for review.
Auditing table and notification mechanism formed a sophisticated monitoring system to provide business user with integration visibility.
Project 2: Songwize project: Songwize is a subsidiary company of ASCAP. Songwize bills publishing companies. From scratch, I designed an integration to insert invoice files (csv format) into MS GP (Accounting system) Sales-Order Processing(SOP) module.
Project 3: Setup a multiple entity Boomi OData Web Service Service Component to expose ASCAP AWS Database data to Salesforce Connect. This achievement saved a large amount of Salesforce Connect license fee for ASCAP.
RSM (Nation-Wide Audit, Tax, Consulting Services Provider)
Background: Mergers and Acquisitions scenario. RSM is attempting to implement an information consolidation business process which merges information(HR, CRM, Finance) from acquired companies’ systems into parent company system.
Major target systems: IFS(ERP), Varcomac, Yearout, Gilbert, Retech, Therma.
Data object: Employee, Customer, Project, Trial Balance, Profit Loss Files.
For Employee, Customer, Project, designed and implemented a database-based information consolidation system. Using one database table to consolidate information from 5 legacy systems. Then send to IFS using a common process.
For Trial Balance, Profit Loss Files, implemented a SFTP files handling and tracking strategy. This Strategy includes archiving, error logging,
For auditing purpose, designed and implemented a database-based event tracking architecture. Each transaction is stored as an event with processing result and error message.
Cosmic Pet (World-Wide Pet Products Manufacturer and Retailer)
Major target systems: Syteline, Sphere, EDI, AWS PostgreSQL Databases, SFTP, Boomi Trading Partners.
Challenge 1: Cosmic Pet is experiencing production transaction failures due to prior Boomi integration incompetency.
Challenge 2: Previous Boomi developers are leaving Cosmit Pet due to intensive pressure.
Challenge 3: Cosmic Pet has a big set of trading partners, this is confusing to provide EDI files to all of them based different requirements.
Cosmic Pet brought me in to solve current production hot tickets as well as to redesign existing integration infrastructure.
Proposed a SFTP files handling and tracking strategy that I successfully implemented and went live with my prior customer.
Provided analysis on existing Boomi integrations. Solved production hot tickets.

Keeco (World-Wide Best in Class Home Textile Supplier, Fashion Top of Bed)
Major target systems: EDI (Purchase Order 850), NetSuite, JDE database.
Challenge: Keeco does not have prior experience in Boomi EDI development.
Lay out and introduced full development cycle plan in Boomi EDI integration with trading partners.
Adapt and improve previous Boomi process to accommodate Keeco new requirement.
ISACA (World-Wide Information Systems Audit and Control Association)
Major target systems: Salesforce, PSI, BenchPrep, On24, Credly, Redshelf, SFTP.
Challenge: Joined the team after the architecture was defined by some other partner, but the design was far from optimum.
Provided a full analysis and pointed potential failure points of the existing architecture.
Proposed and led an architecture re-design and overturned the original architecture.
New architecture saved essential amount of development time and effort, reduced the potential points of failure.
Failure handling was within the scope from original design. Introduce failure handling to customer and emphasized that failure handling is a must in an integration.
Smithfield Foods Inc (World-Wide Pork Producer and Food-Processing Company)
Joined Smithfield Foods’s Boomi integration partner Prolifics as Boomi Architect, Boomi subject matter expert and team lead.
