Managing and coordinating the following key areas:

Responsible for planning, organizing and directing various Facilities Management activities. Ensuring the effective management and integration of multi-disciplinary activities within the Facilities environment

Submitting weekly and monthly Facilities reports to all senior Management as well as all relevant stakeholders

Develop processes to effectively manage all properties within the FM scope

Ensuring that the Facilities Department comply with established procedures, policies, regulations and codes within the parameters of acceptable Facilities Management practice

Providing leadership to Facilities personnel through effective setting, delegation and communication, conducting regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of any changes in policies and procedures, discussing areas needing improvement as well as identifying, developing and implementing training programs where needed

Conducting performance appraisals as well as providing measurable feedback to identified personnel

Implementation of the Medupi Housing Management System

Managing of the MHMS program ( Medupi Housing Management System ) ensuring effective optimization of all Facilities related aspects of the currently 853 accommodation units

FACILITIES COORDINATOR at Murray and Roberts Power and Energy, Medupi Power Station, Lephalale, October 2014 to May 2015

Managing and coordinating the following key areas:

Effective Management and monitoring of transportation and feeding of scheduled employees as well as Managing and monitoring office maintenance requests and requirements on the Medupi Site.

Daily, weekly and monthly operations planning of transportation, feeding and maintenance requirements Effective management of service providers, daily interaction with service providers

Ensure effective compliance of servicers providers with regards to services rendered and control of cost verifications

Ensure quality control inspections on service providers

Ensure Quality Assurance compliance of service providers

Compilation and maintenance of transport, feeding and general maintenance schedules

Statistical analysis and report compilation regarding incidents, feeding consumption, kilometers travelled and maintenance job cards completed/outstanding.

Management of facilities practitioners duties and ensuring that their KPI’s are met on time

Auditing of transportation, feeding and maintenance service providers to ensure compliance with PLA /SSA requirements and MRPE policies and procedures

Weekly service providers meeting to discuss operational conduct, concerns, roadblock issues and/or any potential IR risks with regards to transport and feeding

Internal and external client liaison maintaining sound relationships to enhance the responsibilities of the Facilities department

Regular liaison with staff employees and construction management

Regular liaison with local traffic department, municipalities and emergency centers

Manage the output of the Facilities Coordinators and Practitioners.

Achievement:

Formed an integral part of the Commuting Allowance Task Team called together by Eskom to determine the value and time spent of employees travelling from their respective residences to the Medupi Project and back home when their shifts ended
