Business Experience
In my 38-year career at United Parcel Service (UPS), I created and managed budgets ranging from several hundred thousand to several million dollars for operations and district and region Human Resources (HR) departments. Budget planning went hand-in-hand with setting business unit priorities and goals for the year and adapting to market conditions. During my final three years at the UPS corporate office, my team was responsible for the contracts and contract compliance for three telephone center vendors valued at 10 million dollars annually. The ability to balance a budget that met the changing needs of the company (UPS) was a key measurable element on my Quality Performance Review (QPR), which was always scored as “Exceeds Expectations.”
Community Volunteerism
I served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big sisters in Louisville, KY. While in Atlanta, GA, I served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Children’s Shelter and also served as a volunteer Director of H.R. for three years. During each of my community-based volunteer opportunities, I shared the responsibility of establishing priorities and recommending budgets. I am familiar with line items and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Presently, I volunteer at JSA Medical Services in Sun City, Florida.
Home Owner Experience
As a result of multiple relocations while at UPS, I have owned seven homes in NJ, KY, CT, GA and FL during my lifetime. Prior to building my current property in Wimauma, Florida, I was a home owner in Panter Trace II and Waterleaf in Riverview, Fl.

Conclusion
I have been retired since March 2008 but I have remained very active. I am an avid yogi, exerciser and reader. I am recent divorcee with 5 children and 5 grandchildren. I am currently taking Salsa dance lessons in Optima in Sun City, Florida.
After my successful career at UPS, I could have chosen to live almost anywhere. My ex-wife and I purposely selected Florida as our home. My passion for my community has been demonstrated in both words and deeds.
