My grades were a priority for me during high school. During this time period I got a little bit of a break with school, and decided to get a job for a few months. I learned to effectively speak with customers. I took orders via phone and in person. I was the only CSR for my shift. I would take in between 15-30 phone orders per shift depending on the day of the week. I would also work the register and handle online and curb side orders. I would also have to deal with customer complaints on my own, because my managers were unavailable majority of the time. I became exceptional at dealing with unhappy customers and knowing exactly how to resolve the issue at hand. I would also thoroughly clean every evening... sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning and restocking the bathroom, wiping down counter tops, taking the trash out, etc. I would also restock anything that needed to be restocked. I worked the register. I went over the rules with the customers, I had them sign a waiver, and I made sure they had the proper equipment to be able to jump. I also worked the deck (the trampoline floor) enforcing rules and running any machines that needed running. I was a party host and kept things in order at birthday parties, answered any questions someone may of had, and ensured a pleasant over all experience. If a child (or adult) was hurt I made sure they got the care they needed and that nobody was overlooked. I also thoroughly cleaned for hours each week as part of my job. Lastly I would work the concession stand if needed.
