Projects/Experiences
Unity Tower Defense Game Soju Club Studios April 2024 - Present
● Creating a Tower Defense game with a small team of 3 using Unity Engine and C# (in development).
● Concurrently create an Apple Vision Pro application enabling users to interact and strategically place tower defense structures within a 3D environment.
● Implementing a feature allowing users to embody a character in 3D, dynamically interacting with turrets and providing support with 7 unique weapon arsenals.
Flight/Weather Application April 2024 - Present
● Developing an Java application for NASA's WorldWind engine with the goal of tracking over 200+ US flight data paths and overlaying weather patterns.
● Enabling users to personalize their selection of states for monitoring flight paths and weather data, with the aim of reducing API calls and improving performance by 40%.
● Exploring the addition of features such as displaying transpacific and transatlantic flight paths. This will empower users to visualize the "highways in the sky" and pinpoint the global jetstream, potentially saving up to 20% on flight times. NASA APOD Feb. 2024 - Mar. 2024
● Created a Java GUI application to display astronomy pictures of the day by using NASA’s WebAPI.
● Ensured application for out-of-resolution pictures and optimized performance by 60% . NASA WorldWind Jan. 2024 - Feb. 2024
● Developed a Java app with NASA’s WorldWind Engine to parse live data from the US Geological Survey, graphically displaying over 90% of worldwide earthquake occurrences in real time.
● Implemented a user-friendly GUI enabling interaction with the globe. Sets the default parsing rate to 5 calls per 10 seconds to handle parsing overflows.
● Supported local JSON file uploads and optimized performance for uninterrupted operation. Implemented robust exception handling to gracefully handle any user errors.
JSON Parser Library Sep.2023 - Oct.2023
● Developed a JSON configuration parsing library utilized for parsing data.
● Designed a user-friendly GUI enabling users to choose parsing from either local files or websites. MediTracker Undergraduate Project
● As an undergrad, led a small team of 5 to develop an Android application integrated with a Blockchain Database.
● Implemented functionalities for both the front-end UI and back-end RESTful API, facilitating real-time access to stock information and availability searches within a supply chain database. ParkingC Undergraduate Project
● Led a team in developing a programming language mimicking parking lot structure, utilizing Python's dynamic nature and Java's static typing. Decreased search time for spots by over 90%.
● Implemented AGILE methodologies for timely project deployment through consistent meetings and sprints. ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest)
● Led a university delegation and Computer Science Society team in an international coding competition, fostering collaboration and boosting performance.
Miscellaneous/Soft Skills:
● Served as a team leader for Online Experiences, managed communication channels and created guides viewed by over 50,000 individuals, while mentoring over 20 players. Team ranked top 5 on server and top 400 worldwide.
● Delivered exceptional customer service, addressing over 50 inquiries daily, resolving concerns, managing end-of-day sales averaging
$2000, overseeing inventory, and training 10 new team members at TenRens Cafe.
