In Cicero, NY. I was transferred to Newport News, Va. and then to South Lakeland, Fl.

Over the five- and one-half years with this company I held several positions and descriptions. I was originally hired as a sales associate and was given the responsibility of all flooring measures. Shortly after my hiring I was made an expediter in charge of all flooring installs. By the end of my first year with The Home Depot I was promoted to Dept. Supervisor. My family and I were asked to transfer to Newport News, Va. and assist in the opening of a new store as a Dept. Supervisor. One year later I was transferred to South Lakeland, Fl. as an Area Manager. This position carried several more key-carrying responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, counting vault, setting alarm systems, and other tasks. I was still responsible for three departments within the store with six to ten employees each and in charge of all training, GMROI reports, actual graphs, P&L, as well as inventory control and ordering for all. During my time at the South Lakeland store I was asked to assume the Sales Trainer position and all its responsibilities while maintaining my current responsibilities as an Area Manager. This meant traveling to area stores and training associates on sales techniques and product knowledge of flooring. Reason for leaving: I left The Home Depot due to radical changes in leadership upon the appointment of a new CEO. Some managers' names and numbers can be provided if requested.
