FACILITIES MANAGER, CENSUS QUESTIONAIRE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM – Dallas, TX 2016 – 2021 Chosen to work on the Census Questionnaire Assistance Program, specializing in Control Account Management, Earned Value Analysis and Project Management representing the Facilities perspective for the 2020 US Census project. Additionally, opened two multi-tenant spaces simultaneously. EAST COAST FACILITIES MANAGER – Falls Church, VA & Dallas, TX 2011 – 2016 Selected to improve operations for corporate headquarters and multiple off-site locations. Managed 5 office buildings and 5 call centers with over 400,000 ft2 and over 3,500 seats. All call centers had large data rooms and strict uptime requirements; well-versed in critical systems and environments. Develop, mentor and train staff of 10. Administer budget of over $2.8 million; approve invoices, analyze variances and project expenses.

• In first 3 months, facilitated move to new office space to support highly sensitive government contract. Communicated with client to ensure clear labeling and placement of office materials. Prepared new space for occupancy, coordinating security, key cards, furniture delivery, and technology installation.

• Created standards for using electronic ticketing system for all requests. Allows accurate tracking of open requisitions and monitoring of aging, improving project completion rates and accuracy.

• Changed service culture to be more responsive to internal and external customers; anticipate needed vendors and approve open purchase orders, yielding quicker resolution of issues and more positive overall work environment.

• Decommissioned 80,000 ft2 corporate headquarters building after 10 years of occupancy. Avoided end- of-lease penalties by conducting thorough cleanout – hauling away 23 truckloads of trash and vacating building less than 2 weeks after last staff person departed.

• Communicated regularly with leadership team on Facilities matters in Headquarters.

• Readied 99,000 ft2 building for opening in less than 3 months, 50% faster than typical timeframe. Established purchase order process, coordinated with technology staff, led communication with General Contractor, and organized all maintenance and security procedures.

• Ensured timely, correct payment of approximately 15 leases for the call center properties in the company portfolio including Operating Expenses, Common Area Maintenance and utility charges per each individual lease.

• Member of Crisis Management Team (CMT), devising policies for natural disasters, security threats, maintenance issues and overall safety procedures.

• Implemented used of Excel spreadsheet to track building occupancy levels. Compiled report monthly, reducing expenses by illustrating vacancies thereby creating greater efficiencies.

• Championed new shipping process that was adapted corporate-wide. Implemented automated Fedex software, decreasing time to ship packages and creating strong vendor relationship.

• Generated Statements of Work (SOWs) to complete the RFP process to provide detailed vendor instruction.
