WORK EXPERIENCE
Telemetry Nurse - Marshall Medical Center, Placerville, CA Responsible for the care and administration of medicine, usually for 2 to 4 critical but stable patients whose hearts, due to past or current diagnosis, are being monitored . Care including skin assessments and wound treatments, G-tube feedings and continuing proper bowel function, including ostomy care. Continuing Air pathway maintenance including suctioning, patient positioning timing of PRN breathing treatments(Tx) and education of IS Tx. Administration of prescribed medications, to include starting IV’s and administering IV medications and blood products. Also responsible for admitting & discharging patients, inputting and implementing physicians orders while meeting the needs of the patients in a effective and timely manner. Timely and confidential documentation of these Rx and Tx administrations, patient information and educating patients and family members about these Tx and Rx orders. Primarily Noc shift.
