DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for answering all incoming calls, and taking a detailed report of the information, as described by the caller.
• Making quick, and accurate decisions about which transportation types, and which emergency personnel to send to a scene.
• Assisting in dispatching ambulances to wherever the emergency was.
• Operating and maintaining mobile dispatch vehicles and equipment.
• Maintaining files of information relating to emergency calls such as personnel rosters and emergency call-out and pager files.
• Providing training to new staff members on their job duties and responsibilities and assisting them in settling
• Working with other ambulance providers in the area to provide mutual aid support.
