I started with no experience in machining and in my short time I started running my department. I learned the basics to complex problems associated with machining aerospace parts. I’m able to read a variety of measuring instruments, some programming abilities as well as read blueprints. I was also responsible for all planning and scheduling of the machines and fulfill customer requirements. I was able to get into Sikorsky which had much better pay and job security.

· I was responsible for all aspects of the job. The owner wasn't on sight most days which would leave me to run the jobs. I'm capable of performing all aspects of home improvements. Some of my skills include framing, installing tile, cabinets, plumbing work, some electrical, concrete work and many other areas. I was in charge of keeping the jobs on schedule and within budget. I was in charge of making sure we had the correct amount of material as well as making sure it was what the customer wanted. I worked a lot with the customers to make sure any questions or concerns were discussed and the outcome of the job met their vision. At the time my son was born and we were going through a slow patch so I made the decision to go into a more guaranteed field. Also I was looking at retirement options and health benefits since I was starting my family.

· I was responsible for any and all mechanical work. That included oil changes to motor swaps. I was fully capable of doing any job that came in. Unfortunately it was a small shop that didn't have much room to grow.

· Responsible for most aspects of building and home improvements. I was able to acquire the skills needed to do almost any part of the job required. I learned how to use the tools needed to perform my job from this company, unfortunately the owner went out of business.

Alignment Technician, Aug 1998 – May 2005
· I was responsible for oversight of the shop as well as all alignments that came into the business. I learned how to align all vehicles and learned the software to perform alignments. I learned how to change tires and balance them and by the end I was also responsible for scheduling shop personnel and keeping the cars moving. I had to maintain stock of needed equipment and supplies. I was still young at the time and didn’t realize the opportunity I was given, I always wanted to build houses so I left to pursue that field.

· I had a daughter in 11th grade leading me to quit school and find employment. I took the g.e.d. test and actually acquired it before my class graduated. I wish I had finished normally but supporting my child financially meant more at the time.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
I have strong communication skills and a strong understanding of what people are trying to convey. I worked for a call center when I was younger making cold calls for a sales team. It was only a summer job but it taught me how to be relatable on the phone and to make people feel comfortable with me so they would continue talking to me. I have a high aptitude for learning new skills and software. I’m able to learn about selling points about products or businesses. I’m comfortable on the phone or with using a computer as needed.
