Work Experience

Tankerman

Peopleready/Kalunzy Bros - Rockdale, IL

July 2018 to Present

I unload tankers full of grease. I drop the water off of it. Then hook up hoses to run it through the Shaker

which extracts solids from the grease or through the Delaval which extracts the impurities and moisture.

Then I run it to our storage tanks. Which involves hooking up hoses to pumps then send it through and

once its completed I send steam through the lines to make sure everything is out and the lines are clear

so they won't clog up. Take samples and send them to the lab for testing. Then do the paper work. To

load a tanker. If its coming from multiple tanks then I need to make the proper blend. Make sure the

valve is closed so there is no leaking. Go up top let down the safety cage down. Hook up spout pipe go

to the first storage tank open it up go down and zero out the gallon meter then slowly open up the valve

and load the first tank. Stop at the gallons required and go close that tank and open up the next tank.

When mi done I take a sample close up the tanker and all my storage tanks. Fill out sample cup and take

it to the lab. Then go scale out the tanker for proper weight. I also unload box trailers using a forklift to

remove pallets of boxes, barrels, and cardboard barrels. Take a count of everything that comes off the

trailer. Empty contents of the boxes into a melter, place boxes in the compactor and bale them. Stack

pallets and empty and crush all barrels. Drive Spotter trucks and manual pump trucks. I also dump and

clean rejected barrels. Use a forklift to load the barrels on a conveyor. Then use a dumper machine to

empty them in the melter. Make sure the barrels are on the conveyor as they go in the washer where

I operate the machine that washes them out. Then they dry for 24 hours. Then a blend for the oils are

made along with the labels for them. The next day I label the barrels. Then place them under a spout and

fill the barrels with the proper blend and weight. Take a sample of a barrel on each pallet. Place them

on pallets shrink wrap and label on the front of each pallet. Load the pallets back on the trailer then fill

out the paperwork to for the count and total weight of the full load.
