I have over 15 years of providing M& E support to interventions in public health, Resilience, Food and Nutrition Security, Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction, community systems strengthening, HIV programs and SRHR. This through funding mechanisms like CDC, PEPFAR/USAID, Global Fund, GIZ, National AIDS Council and United Nations. I possess a robust set of co-competences in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation (MEL), including performance monitoring, evaluations, data management, capacity building, and collaboration, learning, and adapting (CLA). I am skilled in developing comprehensive performance monitoring plans and designing and optimizing quantitative and qualitative indicators for international development projects. My experience in designing and conducting performance and impact evaluations is complemented by my ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative methods, ensuring robust and insightful evaluations that inform future programming. Work Experience

1.Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Genesis Analytics ( Oct 2023 – Present)

This is a multi-country USD17 million USAID funded technical assistance grant to strengthen host ministry of health to respond better to infectious diseases. Genesis Analytics is an impact firm founded, incorporated and headquartered in Africa, has worked in 52 African countries and more than 100 countries globally: https://www.genesis-analytics.com.

Position Details

Providing robust technical leadership and guidance for M&E mechanisms on USAID, Global Fund & other donor-funded programmes covering 16 African Countries (Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Angola, Siera Leone, Ghana, Eswatini, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, DRC, Tanzania and Zambia.

Designed cutting edge M&E systems that comply with USAID strategic information needs which significantly improved reporting on TB prevention interventions for the 16 countries.

Implementing complexity-aware mixed-methods M&E approaches like outcome harvesting, collective impact, most significant change enhancing program effectiveness resulting in enhanced insights.

Collaborating with the Ministry of Health’s National TB Units to assist them to synthesize data from DHIS2 and other systems resulting in improved data use for decision making.

Tracking National TB Programs’ activities on Global Fund Grants for each country contributing to improvement in program delivery.

Spearheading the development of data collection tools resulting in standardized data submissions that comply with USAID and Genesis Analytics corporate standards.

2.Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Manager, Zimbabwe National Network of People living with HIV (01 Jul 2021- October 2023).

The organization is an umbrella body that represents the interests of people living with HIV in Zimbabwe in their diversity. Cumulatively it manages grants of up to USD6 Million per annum.

Position Details

Working on four projects, one with three consortium partners and another with 4 sub partners and two direct implementations. The overall M & E budget managed was USD 500 000 and a team of 18 staff with M & E roles.

Led the design and implementation of the project’s results framework and Performance Monitoring Plan and driving membership subscription from 50 000 to 400 000.

Spearheaded the execution of the project Monitoring & Evaluation Plan including monitoring the Indicator Progress Tracking Table (IPTT) & Detailed Implementation Plan.

Represented the organization at Ministry of Health task forces on HIV/TB prevention, treatment and care, Country Coordination mechanism(CCM), Civic societies and other forums.

Established a groundbreaking community-led monitoring system, providing real-time insights and improving advocacy initiatives by People Living with HIV.

Provided oversight through better planning and monitoring of Implementing Partners’ work through routine data collection monitoring & data quality assessments.

Ensured a collaborative culture is followed and everyone works closely with each other resulting in M&E activities being integrated into the program cycle.

3.MEAL Advisor, Catholic Relief Services (Feb 2018- 30 Jun 2021)

CRS is a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the world's most vulnerable people. Areas covered include M&E systems for PEPFAR/USAID OVC program, Agriculture, Nutrition, peace building, Emergency response and recovery. This grant was a USD37Million grant for 5 years.

Successfully designed and refined programme Theory of Change, Result Based Management, and logical framework for proposed projects and those in progress.

Led the implementation of all monitoring, evaluation and learning activities, including the development of the project's performance monitoring plan and indicator development.

Facilitated extensive training sessions, improving partner capabilities in efficient M&E tool usage.

Compiled monthly, quarterly, and annual narrative and statistical reports for donors and other stakeholders.

Ensured that MEAL is an integral part of the programme design stage and features in all proposal development improving implementation.

Tracking of food and nutrition indicators to monitor trends in food security and nutrition, and mobilize resources accordingly.

Established a mechanism to pull data from DHIS2 to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement through interactive visualization using Power BI.

Community led monitoring for HIV services at 317 facilities in 5 Provinces of Zimbabwe

Led the M & E and data collection component of the Zimbabwe PLHIV National Stigma Index survey 2.0, 2022.

Led an evaluation on the impact of user fees to service access by people living with HIV in 2022.

Carried out a baseline survey on community systems strengthening to find, link and retain children and young adolescents living with HIV in 4 districts of Zimbabwe.

Participated in the Zimbabwe National HIV/AIDS strategic plan evaluation in 2022.

Led a midterm graduation benchmark evaluation for households and individuals for an OVC project under CRS covering 9 districts, 2020.

Designed a call centre for PLHIV that provide virtual counselling, doctor consultation and general information.

Developed a case management systems for longitudinal and cross-sectional data collection for OVCs and their caregivers.

Developed a COMMCARE mobile data collection platform for service provision and surveys.
