Provide a brief overview of job summary:

Responsible for successfully and accurately inserting client material via

automated insertion device, into outgoing envelopes, sealing, and applying the

correct postage to the envelopes, duties include but not limited to:

Operate on various inserting equipment

Inserts address tags into mail sacks, tubs or trays used for bulk mailing of ID

Cards, kits, subscription magazines and catalogs

Keeps work area in order and staged with product

‘Sets up and runs inserters

Performs quality control during each mailing to ensure product meet USPS

requirements

Reads postal statement and sorts mail accordingly

Maintains equipment and identify repairs if needed to division level management

Verify check material samples in the control envelopes

Continuously check all components of machine that is running; weight and verify

postage for mailing; clearing work area prior to starting next job; etc.

Perform proper machine start-up and shut down procedures.

Complete jobs scheduled for the assigned equipment according to the work

orders and sample board, within the established time frames for each job.

Insure that equipment has adequate supplies to complete full production.

Operate assigned equipment according to the work orders and sample boards,

within the established quality standards and at the rated speeds for each job with

minimal supervision.

Reads, reviews and interprets instructions on sample board using key

information for set ups and operations, including trouble shooting and correction

as necessary.

Checks and verifies job components against sample board to codes and other

key information and indicators.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area at all times.

Maintain, complete, and verify paperwork for each production run documenting:

production run time, spoilage, down time, maintenance sheets, postal

information, meter readings, and other production logs as directed by supervisor.

Checks accuracy of paperwork pertaining to job, including counts, tray tags, box

labels, samples and seeds.

Sort, tray, strap and prepare finished mail pieces in compliance with U.S. Postal

regulations.

Adhere to policies and guidelines pertaining to confidentiality, security, safety and

professional conduct.

Assist Flatbed Die Cutter Operator by setting up and maintaining the die cutter

‘Analyze the job orders for this equipment, plans necessary operations, and sets

up and adjusts equipment.

Monitor equipment during operations to ensure tolerances are being maintained

Perform daily maintenance duties such as cleaning machinery to remove paper
