Machine model: VMI VAST Truck Tyre Building Machine (TBM)

Machine operation: The VAST system comprises several main modules.

oThe four drum single stage tire assembly module consists of the belt & tread drum, the carcass drum, bead loader and a rotation unit with two mechanically synchronized shaping drums.

oThe overhead project frame is fitted with laser-light guide units to assist the operator in controlling the tire building process

Process Involved:

oIn Carcass building drum, we assemble PA (Pre-Assembled Inner liner, sidewall, bead cushion), Steel chafer, body ply and Apexed bead.

oIn Belt and Tread drum all 4 belt with different angles and different width to be applied (bring flexibility to the tire. The steel belts further enforcing the tire aim at bringing rigidity to the tire's build) then manual Tread splicing.

oAutomatic shaping and assembly of the carcass and the belt package, stitch to give a balanced tire and automatic GT removal conveyor takes green tire to removal unit and automation-based robots takes away the well assembled GT to curing unit.

Completed training certification from Infosys SpringBoard (Python, Data Structure, Database Management, Agile software development, NoSQL databases)

Participated in special credit course on Cost Reduction and Constraint Elimination in MSEC - Feb 2024.

Certificate in NPTEL - Computing using Python (Credit Courses).

Participated in ACIC three days capacity building programing from ACIC-Mepco innovative foundation.

Actively participate in all safety related trainings like fire drill, emergency evacuation, etc.
