Daily duties include stock selection, stow, physical inventory, material handling material examining and identifying, packing, and operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE). I receive, unload and process incoming shipments. I check accompany documentation against container or packing labels. I pack and/or repack a variety of items utilizing a wide variety of standard packing materials, methods and techniques. I am sometimes to determine appropriate method of packing based on the type of commodity/item to be packed. I have assembled items for shipment in the loading area according to information provided on the shipping requests and checks the condition of shipping containers prior to loading. I ensure shipments are properly loaded onto the right conveyances. I have counted types and quantities of items during inventories, and maintain tally listing during the count. Recounts or searches other storage locations to assist in determining the basis for over, short, or misplaced items. I operate one or more types of forklift with a lifting capacity of up to 15,000 pounds and pallet jacks. I cut, measure, assemble variety of hoses and/or fitting to customer specific orders. Jobs requires constant standing, turning/twisting, reaching forward, grasping, handling, eye/hand coordination; and seeing. Duties require frequent walking, bending (at waist), driving MHE, climbing stairs and steps, reaching overhead. Use weight handling equipment or receives assistance from other workers for items heavier than 40 pounds. Frequently lift items up to 50 pounds. Work in warehouse environment on hard surfaces, with hot and cold temperatures. Uses computer terminals and equipment to verify inventory levels, fill orders, place stock, and develop the necessary computerized documentations.
